Chandler Smith-Stetson is the Housing Program Director for Heading Home. In 2012, Chandler started with Heading Home as a volunteer when he was home in Albuquerque, from Fort Lewis College, for summer vacation. Chandler found the work that Heading Home is doing in Albuquerque, to help address social injustice in our community, immensely inspiring and decided to further pursue working on homelessness issues in lieu of his schooling in Colorado. Since then Chandler has worked with Heading Home as an Executive Intern, Program Manager, and, most recently, Program Director. During his time working for Heading Home, Chandler returned to college at the University of New Mexico and graduated in December of 2015. Chandler finds inspiration in people who are doing their best to improve their lives and live to their fullest capacity; he draws this kind of inspiration frequently from the many resilient, optimistic and determined Heading Home clients he meets every day.
