For the second year in a row, a group of AIMS Community College students chose to spend their spring break providing public service and immersing themselves in Heading Home’s programs and services. The group from Greeley, Colorado engaged with our clients at both the AOC and ABQ Winter Shelter helping staff with checking-in residents, laundry, pick-up location clean-up and more. The group also participated in a training seminar and poverty simulation activity provided by Heading Home CEO Dennis Plummer.

In addition to the dozens of volunteer work hours provided, the hands-on learning experience and training at Heading Home has equipped this group to knowledgeably talk about experiences of homelessness and Housing First as a solution. We thank this these amazing students for their time and engagement with Heading Home!
