Heading Home was honored to recently present at Impact & Coffee, a networking and speaker series for nonprofit veterans and budding nonprofit professionals. Our Housing Director, Dorothee Otero, gave an overview of the organization and focused on the impact and innovation of our programs, why we do the work we do and the challenges we face in this sector. Impact & Coffee has been around for three years in Albuquerque, offering the local nonprofit community an incubating space of ideas, cross-pollination and encouragement. The idea was originally a take on 1 Million Cups, “a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs across the country.” Impact & Coffee is produced by the PNM Foundation, The Grants Collective and SINC.
