ABQ Winter Shelter

The ABQ Winter Shelter offers a safe and welcoming environment to every child, woman and man experiencing homeless in Albuquerque during the winter months. The shelter houses up to 350 people per night. The shelter runs from November 15th through March 15th. Shelter residents are connected to social resources, both within Heading Home, and through our service partners in the community. The ABQ Winter Shelter is funded by the City of Albuquerque and operated by Heading Home.

People experiencing homelessness and who need shelter can go to one of three pick up/drop off locations:

The Rock at Noonday

  • Pick up times: 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm
  • 2400 2nd St NW
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Coronado Park

  • Pick up times: 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm
  • 301 McKnight Ave NW
  • Each evening

Courtesy Van Pick Up Locations and Hours

  • 6:00 pm – 11:30 p.m.
  • 1st and Lomas (S.E. Corner)
  • Central and Unser Transit Center (East Parking Lot)
