How You Can Help End Homelessness in Albuquerque
Inside the Albuquerque Opportunity Center: More Than Shelter
For many men experiencing homelessness, the Albuquerque Opportunity Center (AOC) is more than a place to sleep. It’s a safe, welcoming environment where people can start to rebuild their lives.
Each day, the AOC provides 96 individuals with emergency overnight shelter, showers, meals, and access to case management services. But the impact goes far beyond meeting basic needs. Our staff works closely with guests to connect them with housing resources, healthcare, employment opportunities, and mental health support.
One guest recently shared, “The AOC gave me a safe place to land. Without it, I don’t know where I’d be. Now I’m working and saving for my own apartment.”
When you support Heading Home, you’re helping keep the doors open at the AOC — ensuring that hope and opportunity are always available for men in crisis.
