Cindy Ortega recently joined the Heading Home team in December 2019 as the Executive Director of Advancement. Prior to Heading Home, Cindy worked for a national healthcare organization serving women, men and families in a four state region. She enjoyed her work there as the Director of Development for nearly 13 years. She enjoys volunteering and has served on several non-profit boards during her career.

Cindy received a Bachelor of Social Science, with a minor in Sociology from Colorado State University with the goal of making a positive impact in the communities she’s lived in from Colorado to New Mexico. She and her partner Mike, enjoy traveling, camping in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and working on their vintage Volkswagen.
