Heading Home regularly posts job openings for positions at our downtown Annex location, the Albuquerque Opportunity Center, the Westside Emergency Housing Center, and the Lexington Hotel. We are currently hiring for the positions listed below and we post new opportunities regularly.

Case Manager

This case manager will work specifically with existing clients of the Albuquerque Heading Home initiative (AHH). The case manager will provide home visits/case management services for an average of 20 clients. Click here to view the job description.

WEHC Shuttle Driver

The Shuttle Driver shall safely transport WEHC guests and staff as needed to and from varied

Housing Administrative Assistant

This position supports the Housing Department in ensuring that all client files are complete and entered into the FAMCare database as well as HMIS.  This requires a high degree of organization and accuracy.  An excellent knowledge in database management is desired. Click here to view the job description.

Executive Team Assistant

AOC Custodians

Receptionist/Office Manager/HMIS

AOC PRN

AOC Dormitory Resident Assistant

Heading Home is accepting applications for a Dormitory Resident Assistant. The Dormitory Resident Assistant Staff member shall assist all Albuquerque Opportunity Center staff, residents and volunteers in the pursuit and goal of Heading Home’s mission which is to make experiences of homelessness rare, short-lived, and non-recurring. Respite Resident Assistant

Heading Home is accepting applications for a Respite Resident Assistant. The PRN Back-Up Shelter Staff member shall assist in creating and maintaining an emotionally and physically safe atmosphere. Respite Care Weekend Shift Manager

WEHC Housing Manager

Wellness Hotel Intake

The Wellness Hotel Intake Coordinator is responsible for the programmatic oversight and coordination of referral services at all Wellness Hotels.  The Wellness Hotel system was established by the City of Albuquerque Department of Family and Community Services to reduce density of the congregate shelter population at the WEHC and provide a non-congregate shelter option for homeless individuals most at risk of severe impacts if they contracted COVID-19 because of age or underlying medical conditions.  The Wellness Hotel system serves as a voluntary extension of the City’s emergency shelter program during the COVID-19 pandemic period as it continues to threaten public health.  This may be a seasonal position.

Senior Peer

A Senior Peer is able to work side-by-side with senior citizens who are either homeless or precariously-housed. Responsibilities include assisting with social opportunity development, referrals to support services, and advocating for the person. Click here to view the complete job posting and application instructions.

ABQ StreetConnect Navigator

Under direct supervision, work closely with community providers community health and behavioral health providers, and numerous other social services agencies to provide Intensive navigation and care coordination for persons who are experiencing homelessness with behavioral health disorders, persons with co-occurring disorders, and persons who are high utilizers of the emergency systems. Click here to view the complete job posting and application instructions.

ABQ StreetConnect Clinician

The Albuquerque StreetConnect Clinician will provide direct clinical services to ABQSC clients, as necessary. In addition, work as the point person to ensure effective community engagement and coordination.
