On Saturday, August 10 between 10:30am-3pm, Heading Home is accepting donations to benefit the Westside Emergency Housing Center. We would be grateful for donations of hygiene products (soap, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products), clothing (both men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, socks, coats), undergarments (including bras and underwear) and small household goods (microwaves, coffee pots, pans, cleaning supplies). Folks can drop their items off at the Albuquerque Opportunity Center, located at 715 Candelaria NE. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see our bus, “Homer” parked outside with the Westside staff!

The Westside Emergency Housing Center offers a safe and welcoming environment to families, women and men experiencing homelessness in Albuquerque. Formerly known as the “Winter Shelter,” for the first time in 2019, the Westside Emergency Housing Center will remain open year-round. The center is open on evenings during the week and operates 24 hours on weekends. Everyone deserves safe housing, and the Westside Emergency Housing Center helps those with nowhere else to go. Thank you for your support, we look forward to seeing you on 8/10!
