Heading Home accepts the following items for our housing clients and those living in shelters:
- New or unopened toiletries
- Cleaning supplies
- New underwear (all ages and genders)
- Furniture (slightly care-worn)
- New or gently used linens
- Street outreach supplies and kits (healthy snacks, bottled water, sleeping bags, Chapstick)
- Gift cards
- We do NOT accept hospital equipment.

Volunteer
Heading Home offers various volunteer opportunities at our shelters including:
- Leading activities and special events, such as game night
- Landscaping
- Organizing friends or co-workers to create toiletry kits and gift bags
for the shelters and street outreach - Helping at special events and holiday events throughout the year
Adopt A Family
Each Christmas, we invite caring members of the community to “Adopt a Family” in one of Heading Home’s programs, by donating gifts from the children’s Christmas wish lists.

Holiday of Hope
As temperatures drop in the colder months, we need winter clothing to help our clients stay warm. Every year, we seek volunteers to host clothing drives for coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. Volunteers can also gather their family, church, or community group to make outreach bags. These are filled with essential items like snacks, water, Chapstick, tissues, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes, etc.
