Heading Home is thrilled to continue our partnership with Harwood Art Center. Our latest collaboration involves providing newly-housed clients in the Albuquerque Heading Home program with original pieces of art from local artists.
Each year Harwood puts on their 12×12 fundraising exhibition featuring established, emerging and youth artists from New Mexico. 12”x12” panels of wood are used as a vehicle, sometimes with a general theme, and other times at the liberty of the artist. Harwood has generously offered to give pieces from the exhibition to our newly-housed clients in the belief that everyone deserves access to art and beauty. This year, Harwood sought out some artists with the sole intention of donating the pieces to our clients.
The installation was installed last week and looks beautiful! Our office wall now breathes with the artistic magic of numerous local artists, and our clients get a look into beautiful pieces that will soon hang on their own walls. This project is truly meaningful for our clients and we’re very grateful to the Harwood Art Center and the many artists that participated!
