Heading Home is part of a seven-agency cohort through the Building Movement Project, an organization that equips nonprofits to advance social change. For the past six months, we have explored constituent engagement (CE) in an effort to incorporate Human Centered Design into our organization.
Human Centered Design, by definition, is a design and management framework that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective in all steps of the problem-solving process. This approach enhances effectiveness and efficiency, improves human well-being, user satisfaction, accessibility and sustainability; and counteracts possible adverse effects of use on human health, safety and performance.
We do this in an effort to involve our clients and major stakeholders in our program design and delivery.
