In observance of Memorial Day, we had a picnic at one of our temporary community center shelters. All of the food was cooked by one of the Pathways Navigators Guillermina Osoria. This is just one of the many things the Pathways Navigators have done for our shelter guests as they have been sheltering in place with us during this COVID-19 outbreak.
The Pathways Navigators are part of the Community Health Worker Initiatives (CHWI) of the University of New Mexico Office for Community Health. During COVID-19 several of the navigators have helped our temporary community center shelter residents get connected with health and social services. We are grateful for community partnerships like this one. To learn more about the program, click here.
