Thank you to the wonderful students from Tulsa Community College who came down and volunteered with Heading Home and learned about homelessness in our community. These folks volunteered at both of our shelters and are now known as Donation Room Rockstars! Not only did they organize our donation room at the Westside Emergency Housing Center, they helped landscape at the AOC shelter, participated in a training session with our CEO and interacted with our residents through games and conversation.
These folks are on the path to social work careers and these are exactly the type of folks we need in that field – caring, attentive and engaged. We truly appreciate you guys!
