We are grateful to our Heart to Heart volunteer group for making over 500 face coverings for our staff and clients. Face coverings have become an essential part of keeping our clients and staff safe during this COVID-19 outbreak. Kathleen, the leader of the Heart to Heart group, reached out to the group members, and then from there, more people got involved. People from Grace Fellowship in Los Lunas, Trinity at the Marketplace in Albuquerque, and other friends and neighbors who were looking for ways to help during these unprecedented times were able to make an impact. Making enough face coverings for all of our staff and clients truly was a community effort and a safe way for volunteers to get involved with the organization.

Heart to Heart plus others put in countless hours of volunteer time at their homes making the face coverings and we are so moved by their efforts to help keep us safe. Kathleen said it brought her, the group, friends, and neighbors a lot of joy and satisfaction to know they made a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness during these difficult times.
