On January 20th, the University of New Mexico’s Physician Assistant program held a benefit fundraiser called Masquerade for Medicine. Heading Home was honored to have the Albuquerque Opportunity Center’s (AOC) weekly medical clinic picked as one of the beneficiaries.

Heading Home is honored to have our residents and clients featured in the artistic exhibit, “Don’t Look Away: A reintroduction to homelessness” at the UNM Domenici Center for Health Sciences and Education — West Wing Lobby. The exhibit chronicles stories of residents at our Albuquerque Opportunity Center (AOC) men’s emergency shelter, and clients in our Albuquerque Heading Home program.

Thanks to the good folks at the Launchpad, and some amazing local bands, for making the 1st Annual Homeless and Active Military Benefit Show a success! On December 29th, Albuquerque favorites Red Light Cameras, !Reviva!, Concepto Tambor and Moonshine Blind played to a packed house to support those in need.

For the third year, Heading Home’s Holiday of Hope brought joy and good cheer to 40 of our families. We were able to provide presents for 183 family members. Besides the wonderful presents, we also received toiletries, blankets, gift cards, socks, hats and gloves, and cash donations.
