Heading Home is pleased to announce Ms. Connie Chavez has joined the organization as the new Chief Executive Officer. Connie, born and raised in Albuquerque, brings with her a wealth of knowledge from her lifelong efforts to enhance services for the underprivileged/underserved communities in Albuquerque. Connie's history of community service includes her work as Executive Director of the Barrett Foundation, Sawmill Community Land Trust, and the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation.![]()

Currently, Connie serves as Vice Chair of the Bernalillo County Planning Commission and has been a member of several local and national nonprofit Board of Directors.![]()
